Beverly J. Loehmer

August 16, 1930 to January 27, 2018

WINAMAC - Beverly Jean Ledford Loehmer, 87, of Winamac, passed away at 8:10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 27, at Pulaski Health Care Center, Winamac.

She was born Aug. 16, 1930 to the late Paul and Margaret Conwell Ledford. She graduated from Francesville High School in 1948. On March 31, 1951, she married Edward F. Loehmer. He survives.

Mrs. Loehmer and her husband were retired dairy farmers in Winamac and received multiple awards for their herd production. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Ladies of Charity, Christian Mothers, as well as a volunteer at the Good Samaritan store. She was a proud homemaker and farmwife. She was an excellent seamstress and quilt maker as well as a wonderful cook. She was a member of the Monroe Home Extension Club. She was very generous and always cared for others. She helped many young girls, including her granddaughters, with their 4-H sewing projects over the years. She loved her family very much, especially spending time with all of her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 30, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. A scriptural wake service will be at 8 p.m., at the funeral home followed by a Ladies of Charity and Christian Mothers service. A funeral mass will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 31, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Winamac, with Rev. Leroy Kinnaman officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter Cemetery, Winamac.
