Alliance Bank announces 2017 scholarship recipients

FRANCESVILLE - Alliance Bank extends well wishes to all students headed back to the classroom for the 2017-18 academic year.

Earlier this spring, Alliance Bank awarded scholarships to four area high school  seniors. Alliance Bank's scholarship is awarded to students pursuing a business-related degree and who have a strong background in community service. Each student receives $1,000 to aid in the cost of pursuing higher education.

This year's scholarship recipients are: Hayley Musser, Ashlee Grubbs, Maggie Miller and Regan Culp.

A graduate of Benton Central High School, Hayley Musser will attend Manchester University this fall to pursue a degree in biology and business management.

Ashlee Grubbs, a graduate of Winamac Community High School, is pursuing a degree in marketing and Spanish at Purdue University. Ashlee was also one of Alliance Bank's inaugural Junior Board of Directors members and served as Community Service Chairperson and Marketing Officer.

A graduate of Twin Lakes High School, Maggie Miller will also attend Purdue University this fall, pursuing a degree in business management.

Regan Culp, a graduate of West Central High School, is pursuing a degree in animal science agribusiness from Purdue University.

"We are delighted to support our local students and their families' dedication to higher education and ambitions for their future," said Stephanie Parish, marketing director of Alliance Bank.

A total of $6,000 in annual scholarship funds are awarded to local high school students as part of Alliance Bank's commitment to the community.
