FRANCESVILLE - Edith Arlene Streitmatter, 82, of Francesville, passed away, surrounded by her family, at 10:24 p.m., Saturday, July 29, at Franciscan Health Hospital, Rensselaer.

She was born Sept. 9, 1934 in Rensselaer, to the late Richard and Zura Ethel Snedeker Streitmatter.

She is survived by: 
Ethel Joan Gutwein, Francesville, Sister 
Keith (Marlene) Streitmatter, Rensselaer, Brother 
Dale ( Barbara) Streitmatter, Rensselaer, Brother 
Irvin Yaggie, Francesville, Brother-in-law 
Several Nieces and Nephews

She was preceded in death by: 
Lois Yaggie, Sister 
Harvey Gutwein, Brother-in-law 
James Tucker, Nephew 
James (Rose Smith) Wren, Cousin 
Samuel Streitmatter, Great-nephew

Ms. Streitmatter was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, Francesville. She had worked for over 30 years at Schumacher Company, Rensselaer. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews. She had been a resident of Parkview Haven Retirement home for 21 years.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 3, at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel, Francesville; and one hour prior to services at the church. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Friday Aug. 4, at the Apostolic Christian Church, Francesville, with the ministers of the church officiating. Burial will be at Osborne Cemetery, Rensselaer.
