Jerry Beiswanger

November 9, 1941 to March 30, 2017

WHEATFIELD - Jerry Beiswanger, 75, of Medaryville passed away Thursday, March 30, at his home with his loving family around him.

On Nov. 9, 1941, in Francesville, he was born to the late Lawrence and Veleeta Stiller Beiswanger. He married Sandra Schultz on Sept. 26, 1964, in Medaryville. She survives.

He is survived by daughters: Stephanie (Gary) Culp and Cathy (Bob) Elston; five grandchildren: Carlie, Nick, and Kirstin Elston, and Jordan and Katie Culp; and one great-granddaughter: Ava May Garlach; siblings: Bonnie (Lester) Koebcke, Judy (Don) Tanner and Connie Beiswanger.

Mr. Beiswanger was a lifetime area resident who graduated from Medaryville High School. He worked for Ford Motor Stamping in East Chicago. He loved collecting old lanterns, hanging out in his garage to tinker around, and reading and completing puzzles. He loved his wife, children and grandchildren very much.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 12 noon until 3 p.m. (EST, Monday, April 3, at the Medaryville Christian Church. The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. (EST), at the church with Pastor Don Nedza officiating. Per Mr. Beiswanger's wishes, cremation will follow and interment at the Roseland Cemetery will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and the Medaryville Christian Church.
