FRANCESVILLE - Jack L. Overton, 83, of Francesville, passed away Friday, March 10, at his residence.

He was born June 5, 1933 in Lee, IN to the late Lloyd "Dutch" and Mildred "Lou" Waymire Overton. On June 23, 1956, he married Rose M. LaMone in Rensselaer. She passed away May 14, 2016.

Stephen J. (Cathy) Overton, Francesville, Son 
Bob L. Overton, Francesville, Son 
13 Grandchildren 
19 Great grandchildren 
Kate (Jim) Britt, Wolcott, Sister

Mr. Overton was a member of the Francesville First Christian Church. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was retired as a welder from NIPSCO. He enjoyed cooking and was a Chicago Cubs and NASCAR fan. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed. 

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, March 14 at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel, Francesville. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m., (Tuesday, March 14), at the funeral home with Pastor James Ketchen officiating. Private burial will be at a later date in Roseland Cemetery, Francesville. The American Legion will conduct military graveside services.
