May 15, 1954 to February 1, 2017

WINAMAC - Hubert M. Hoover, 62, of Winamac passed away unexpectedly at his home Wednesday, Feb. 1. 

He was born May 15, 1954 in Logansport to Bill and Pauline Hoover. On May 22, 1993, he married Shirley Duyag in Dumangas, Philippines. She survives.

William Hubert "Bill" and Pauline Mae Rose Hoover, Winamac, Parents 
Laura (Daryn) Wilder, Sister 
Mary (Craig) Fosnaugh, Sister 
Twila (Joe) Slomka, Sister 
Robert Hoover, Brother 
Several Nieces and Nephews

Preceded in death by: 
Richard Creed Hoover, Infant Brother 
William Harvey Hoover, Infant Brother

Mr. Hoover served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and went on to serve in the U.S. Navy, retiring in 2002. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and was a member of HOG. He was a fisherman and a sportsman. He was a loving husband, father, son and brother. He will be sadly missed.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 3, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 4, at the funeral home with CDR David Stanton, USN (Retired) officiating. Burial will be at Winamac Cemetery, Winamac. The American Legion and VFW will conduct military graveside services.
