FRANCESVILLE - Beverly Odom, 85, of Francesville, passed away at 2:38 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 11, at White Oak Health Campus, Monticello.

She was born May 15, 1931 in Monon, to the late William and Mabel Ren Long. She graduated from Francesville High School. She married Max Odom on May 29, 1949 at Monon Chapel Church.

She was the mother of four children, three of whom survive, Gregory (Christine) Odom; William (Shereen) Odom; and Leesa (Michael) Gayer. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, as well as her brother, Bill Long.

She was preceded in death by her infant son, Kevin Max Odom; an infant granddaughter, Autumn Dawn Skalon; and her siblings, Mary Pratt, Perry Long, Dorothy Westerhouse and Ruth Erb.

Mrs. Odom was baptized at the Monon Chapel Church and had formerly attended the Independence Methodist Church at Gillam Township and the Francesville Methodist Church. She was a member of the Francesville American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed fishing, reading, playing cards, and doing puzzle books. She was a proud homemaker - a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister - who will be dearly missed.

Mrs. Odom's wishes were to be cremated and for her family to gather for a private family burial which will be at Roseland Cemetery, Francesville.
