Police seek help in solving burglary cold case

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office is seeking public assistance in solving a four-year-old burglary case involving a Winamac residence. A $2,000 reward is offered.

On Jan. 8, 2013 county police investigated a burglary at the residence of Garry and Rhonda White on Crestview Drive, Winamac.

The burglary is believed to have occurred between the hours of 5 and 11 p.m. on that evening while the Whites were away from the residence, attending a viewing for their deceased daughter in Winamac.

Police report that investigators determined forced entry had been made into the residence through an exterior door. Investigators found the interior of the residence to have been “ransacked,” and multiple items, including large items, were stolen from the residence. Investigators followed up on multiple leads which resulted in no arrests.

The family has now informed the sheriff's department that they wish to provide a $2,000 reward for anyone providing information leading to the arrest of a suspect or suspects in this investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office at 574-946-6655. Anyone with information who requests to remain anonymous can be assured that his/her identity will remain confidential and protected.
