Police arrest Francesville pair on drug charges

Pulaski County police arrested a Francesville man and woman Thursday (Oct. 13) who were wanted on outstanding felony drug warrants.

The pair were located at a residence seven miles north of Winamac. They are identified as Buffey L. Grigsby, 43, and William J. Morgan, 42.

Deputies received information from a previous investigation of Grigsby and Morgan that they were located at a residence in the 6700 Block of CR 750 N, Winamac. Morgan and Grigsby both had outstanding warrants out of Pulaski Superior Court for the charges of escape, dealing in synthetic cannabinoid, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of a synthetic drug related to an investigation on July 26.

Deputies attempted to make contact with Grigsby and Morgan at a camper located on the property, but were unsuccessful. They set up surveillance in the area. Grigsby and Morgan were later observed fleeing from the camper trailer on foot.

Police soon located the pair who were found to be in possession of marijuana, synthetic marijuana, and items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine.

According to the police report, a search warrant was obtained from Pulaski County Circuit Court for the camper trailer. A search of the trailer was conducted and additional marijuana, synthetic marijuana, and items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine were located. 

Grigsby and Morgan were taken into custody for the outstanding felony warrants and are currently being held at the Pulaski County Jail.

The two received additional charges of dealing in methamphetamine, dealing in a Schedule 1 controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of a controlled substance, and resisting law enforcement. Grigsby and Morgan are currently being held in the Pulaski County Jail.

The Indiana State Police Clandestine Laboratory Team assisted at the scene.
