Millard R. Smith

November 6, 1956 to September 19, 2016

WINAMAC - Millard R. "Red" Smith, 59, of Royal Center, passed away at 1:32 p.m., Monday, Sept. 19, at Woodbridge Health Campus, Logansport.

He was born on Nov. 6, 1956 in Suffolk, Va. to the late Billy and Lillie Parker Smith. On July 4, 1980 he married Grace E. Jophlin, in Plymouth. She survives.

He is also survived by:

Jason (Terah) Smith, Leiter's Ford, Son 
Grandchildren: Drake Smith, Kaitlyn Smith, Dakota Clark, Dylan Williams, Dallas Williams, and Micah Smith 
Doris (Mike) Moss, Sister 
Beulah (Don Rausch) Braun, Sister 
Wiona Dyke, Sister 
William (Joeanna) Smith, Brother 
Several Nieces and Nephews

Mr. Smith served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member and former chaplain at the Winamac Eagle's Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, playing Euchre, and small engine repair. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be sadly missed. 

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m., Friday, Sept. 23, at Word of Faith Church in Winamac, with Rev. Bobby Board officiating. The American Legion and VFW will conduct military rites following services.

Memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
