Summer Bookmobile to serve West Central Elementary School families

FRANCESVILLE - The West Central Elementary School Title I Department has announced that the Summer Bookmobile program will continue.

The Pulaski County Library has agreed to help sponsor books for this program. This donation from the county library along with funds from the Title I grant will help to purchase best-selling adult books as well as books for all reading levels and tubs in which to store books.

Once again the Bookmobile will  be run by the husband and wife teacher team of Kevin and Natalie Wenzel. The Bookmobile which is actually a school van, will travel  the month of June stopping at homes throughout the West Central District.

Because of time and money constraints, not all families get to enjoy the Bookmobile. However, with the closing of the library branch in Medaryville,  the Title I department is trying to include more families who may not have the ability to access a local library. The Pulaski County Public Library will assist the Title I department in meeting this need.

If the Bookmobile stops at your home, feel free to have every family member choose a free book. Of course, the selection will be limited, but this opportunity is for the family, not just the elementary student. Parents are encouraged to help students select books that can either be read by the parent to the child, or the child can read by him or herself.
