Zellers named new Winamac town manager

The Winamac Town Council has named Brad Zellers as its new town manager.

Zellers is a 20-year veteran of the town's wastewater treatment plant, acting as its supervisor for the past 13 years.

The announcement was made during Monday night's (Jan. 12) regular monthly town council meeting.

The council conducted interviews for the position last week. Three candidates were interviewed for the position, from a total of six applications received.

Zellers will succeed longtime town manager Jim Conner whose employment was terminated by the council in November.

While a search is conducted for a new superintendent at the wastewater treatment plant, Zellers will serve in both the town manager and superintendent roles while the transition is being made.
