WINAMAC - Infant Everley Grace Hunnicutt, Star City,  passed away at 11:15 p.m., Friday, Feb. 18,  at Memorial Hospital, South Bend.

She was born Feb. 18, in South Bend, to Joshua and Ashley LaTour Hunnicutt.

Marolyn Elaine Keiper

August 26, 1930 to February, 23, 2011

WINAMAC - Marolyn Elaine Keiper, 80, of Winamac, passed away at 11:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 23, at Life Care Center, Rochester.

She was born Aug. 26, 1930, in LaPorte, to the late Marvin and Trella Williams Christian. She married Robert Henry Keiper on Oct. 16, 1948 in LaPorte. He died on March 26, 1979.

Mrs. Keiper was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Winamac. She had worked as a nurse technician at Pulaski Memorial Hospital and Pulaski Healthcare Center in Winamac. She had also worked at Sander's IGA in Winamac.

 Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m., Sunday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. A rosary service will be held at 7:15 p.m., at the funeral home, followed by a scriptural wake service. A funeral mass will be at 10 a.m., Monday, (Feb. 28), at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Winamac, with Rev. Bert Woolson officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Winamac.

Memorial donations may be given to the National Kidney Foundation.

Mary Helen Robinson

May 18, 1920 to February 24, 2011

FRANCESVILLE - Mary Helen Robinson, 90, of Rensselaer, formerly of Francesville,  passed away at 6:11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 24, at the Rensselaer Care Center.

She was born May 18, 1920, in Rensselaer, to the late Raymond and Elsie Huquet Herr. She married S. Richard Robinson on March 27, 1940,  in Kentland. He passed away on April 27, 1969.

Mrs. Robinson and her husband were life long residents of Francesville. She was a homemaker, waitress and bookkeeper. She was retired from the Pulaski County Farm Bureau in Francesville where she worked for 27 years. She was a member of the St. Francis of Solano Catholic Church and the American Legion Auxillary, both of Francesville.

Friends may call from 9 to 10:30 a.m., Monday, at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel, Francesville. A funeral mass will follow at 11 a.m., Monday (Feb. 28), at the St. Francis of Solano Catholic Church, Francesville, with Rev. Paul White officiating. Burial will be in Roseland Cemetery, Francesville.

Minonna "Noan" Fox

December 23, 1919 to February 15, 2011

WINAMAC - Minonna "Noan" Fox, 91, Pulaski, passed away at 12:03 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 15, at Miller's Merry Manor, Culver.

She was born Dec. 23, 1919, in Headlee, to the late James Edward and Cordelia H. Hall Crissinger. She married Joseph F. Fox on July 14, 1945 in Winamac. He died Feb. 8, 2010.

Mrs. Fox was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pulaski. She was also a member of the Christian Mothers, VFW Auxillary in Winamac and the Country Maids Home Extension Club. She was a 1938 graduate of Royal Center High School. She worked as a laborer at the Kingsbury Ordinance Plant during World War Ii. Noan was a farm wife and especially enjoyed driving the vehicles.

Friends may call from  3 to 8 p.m., Thursday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. A rosary service will begin at 7:15 p.m., followed by a scriptural wake service. Wanda Shidler Myers

March 28, 1939 to February 13, 2011

WINAMAC - Wanda May "Sis" Shidler Myers, 71, of Monticello, died Sunday, Feb. 13, at 3:13 p.m., at her residence.

She was born March 28, 1939, in Winamac, to the late Thomas and Ruth Biddle Shidler Sr. She married Richard T. Myers Oct. 27, 1956 at the Francesville Christian Church in Francesville. He survives.

Mrs. Myers was a member of the VFW Auxillary in Plymouth, for 21 years. She was also a member of the Wheatfield American Legion for 19 years. Wanda was a member of the Monon Eagles Auxillary #2788 and a former member of the Monticello Moose Lodge #906.

She had been a co-owner of the Chalmers Cafe in Chalmers, and Wanda's Cafe in Brookston. She was also the co-owner of Dick & Wanda's Restaurant and Bar in Chalmers. She had worked most of her life as a waitress and cook in a variety of restaurants.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m., (Wednesday, Feb. 16), at the funeral home with Pastor Rev. Kleymann officiating. Burial will be in Buck Cemetery, Thornhope.

Memorial donations may be given to Guardian Angels Hospice Logansport or Mesothelioma Research.

Doris Mitchell

May 26, 1921 to February 13, 2011

WINAMAC - Doris S. Mitchell, 89, of Winamac, passed away at 10:40 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 13, at her residence.

She was born May 26, 1921, in Wilkinson, to the late Joel Benjamin "Jib" and Opal Collier Simmons. She married Dale Mitchell on Nov. 2, 1946, at Centenary Christian Church in Indianapolis. He survives.

Mrs. Mitchell gradauted from Ball State University with degrees in business and home economics. She was a teacher at Winamac and Star City schools for 16 years. She was also the teacher sponsor for the yearbook. She was a member of Pisgah Christian Church in Logansport. She played the organ for over 40 years at the First Christian Church in Winamac. She was the last living member of the Star City Book Club. She was a member of Delta Sigma Tau Sorority in Winamac.

Friends may call from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac, and one hour prior to services at the church Thursday. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Thursday (Feb. 17), at Pisgah Christian Church, Logansport, with James Sayers & Ryan Lewellen officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m., Thursday, in McKinley Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Winamac.

Bertha Mersch

November 3, 1923 to February 10, 2011

WINAMAC - Bertha Pearl Mersch, 87, of 135 Lane 425 B Jimmerson Lake, Freemont, died at 6:03 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 10,  at  Cameron Memorial Community Hospital, Angola.

She was born Nov. 3, 1923, in Clearwater, NE, to the late Herman Axel and Flossie Pearl Bebee Anderson.
She married Joseph Carl Mersch on Nov. 29, 1941, in Clearwater, NE. He passed away on Dec. 21, 1992.

Mrs. Mersch was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Angola, and a former member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Winamac. She was a homemaker and a farm wife helping her husband on the farm. She had lived with her daughter and son-in-law in Fremont, for the past eight years and was a former resident of Winamac and Royal Center.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m., at the funeral home. The funeral mass will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday (Feb. 15), at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Winamac, with Father Bill Kummer officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Winamac.
