Marjorie Sullivan MauNovember 21, 1916 - May 2, 2013 NORTH JUDSON - Marjorie (Schricker) Sullivan Mau , 96, passed away Thursday, May 2, in Winamac. She was born Nov. 21, 1916 in North Judson, to the late Hazel Glen (Miller) and George William "Billy" Schricker. She married John Sullivan Sept. 3, 1936. He passed away in 1945. She then married Arthur K. Mau June 27, 1942 and he preceded July 6, 1973. She is survived by two sons, Jerry (Betty) Sullivan and Art (Loretta) Mau both of Winamac. She was preceded by one sister, June Weninger and a brother Grant Schricker. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. (CT) Sunday (May 5), with the funeral service following at 5 p.m. (CT), at O'Donnell Funeral Home, Inc., North Judson. Burial will be in Round Lake Cemetery, Knox. Mark D. ShidlerMarch 25, 1957 to April 21, 2013 WHEATFIELD - Mark D. Shidler, 56, of Medaryville, passed away Sunday, April 21, at his home surrounded by the ones he laughed with, lived for and loved. He was born March 25, 1957 in Winamac. He married Denise Hayes on March 22, 1980 in LaCrosse. She survives.
He was preceded in death by his son: Justin Shidler, father: Tom McCormick. Mr. Shidler was a lifetime area resident. He graduated from West Central High School in 1975. He worked as a maintanence supervisor for Selected Furniture in Knox. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. (CST), Tuesday, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. (CST) Wednesday (April 24), at the LaCrosse United Methodist Church, LaCrosse, with Pastor Randy Schrock officiating. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, LaCrosse. Mary Jane PerryOctober 23, 1924 to April 27, 2013 WINAMAC - Mary Jane Brucker Perry, 88, Kewanna, passed away at 12:20 p.m., Saturday, April 27, at Pulaski Memorial Hospital, Winamac. She was born Oct. 23, 1924, in Monterey, to Albert and Lydia Wade Brucker, who preceded her in death. On Nov. 3, 1942, she married Lawrence J. Perry Sr. at St. Anne’s Church in Monterey. They celebrated 65 years together.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence J. Perry Sr.; a son, Lawrence J. Perry Jr.; one grandson, Mark Perry; three sisters Evelyn Reinholt, Madeline Danti, and Alberta Miller; and one brother, Paul Brucker. Mrs. Perry was raised on a Jersey dairy farm and attended school in Monterey. For her entire life she was a homemaker devoted to her husband and eight children, owner of Maple Corner Antiques for several years, and together with her husband farmed Harrison Township land family-owned for 95 years. Along with collecting, selling and exhibiting antiques, she enjoyed working in her extensive flower gardens, playing euchre, entertaining family and friends, and traveling. She was a past member of Harrison Township Home Economics Club. She was an active member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Kewanna, and a current member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Winamac. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac, with a scriptural wake service at 7:30 p.m. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday (May 1), at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Winamac. Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery, Winamac. Memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to either of the following charities: St. Peter’s Catholic Church or Sisters of Poor Clare, Belleville, IL. Irene S. FoxJune 17, 1916 to April 15, 2013 FRANCESVILLE - Irene Fox, 96, of Francesville, died at 3:25 p.m., Monday, April 15, at the Rensselaer Care Center in Rensselaer. She was born June 17, 1916 in Diagonal, IA to the late Frank and Frances Friemel Stejskal. She married George Emerson Fox on Aug. 29, 1936, in Knox. He passed away on July 4, 1973.
Preceded in death by: Mrs. Fox was a member of the Independence Church, Gilliam Township, rural Jasper County. She had been a cook at Parkview Haven Retirement Home in Francesville and a counselor at the Methodist Camp. She lived in Francesville most of her life. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Tuesday (April 23), at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel, Medaryville with Rev. Bill Clark officiating. Burial will be at Independence Cemetery, Medaryville.

DentonApril 15, 1944 to April 11, 2013 FRANCESVILLE - Sharon Kay Denton, 68, of Francesville, passed away at 8:53 p.m., Thursday, April 11, after a strong battle against cancer. She passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 15, 1944 to the late Carl Sr. and Mary Farney Gutwein. She married James L. Denton on Nov, 25, 1962 in Francesville. They had been married for 50 years. He survives.
Grandchildren: Tabitha (Bill) Parish, Zachary (Angie) Denton, Isaac (Abigail) Denton, Simone Denton, Cody Denton, Jacob (Melissa) Tanner, Sabrina Tanner, Alisha Tanner, Derek Reinhold, Corey Reinhold, Elizabeth Reinhold, Bryce Murray, Gage Murray, Vanessa Murray and Broderick Murray. Great-grandchildren: Hannah Lincourt, Ethan Lincourt, Samantha Parish, James Denton, and Lia Denton.

Preceded in death by: Mrs. Denton graduated from Francesville High School in 1962. She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church in Francesville. She owned and operated Sharon's Beauty Shop for over 37 years. She and her husband enjoyed traveling and camping. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Sharon will be greatly missed. Visitation will be from from 2 to 8 p.m., Sunday, at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel, Francesville, and one hour prior to services at the church Monday. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday (April 15), at the Apostolic Christian Church, Francesville, with the ministers of the church officiating. Burial will be at Roseland Cemetery, Francesville. Memorial donations may be given to the Loving Shepherd Ministries c/o Francesville Apostolic Christian Church OR American Cancer Society. Dollie Mae MartindaleJuly 26, 1937-April 2, 2013 CULVER - Dollie Mae Martindale, 75, of Culver, passed away at 1:40 p.m. April 2, at Miller's Merry Manor in Culver. She was born July 26, 1937 in Monterey to the late Carl and Mildred Stevens Keller. On Oct. 19, 1979, Dollie married Roderick Martindale who proceeded her in death Oct. 23, 2011. She is survived by her daughter; Rae (Jeff) Bonnell, Monticello; daughter: Cindy (Tom) Kasten, Winamac; son: Tim (Darci) Posthuma, Warsaw; stepson: Rick (Diana) Martindale, Walkerton; stepson: Bob (Becky) Martindale, South Bend; stepdaughter: Susan (Jim) Lovell, Manhattan, Mont. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Brian Bonnell, Shawn Bonnell, Shay Kasten, Shanna Bonnell, Britni Posthuma-VandenBossche, Kelsi Posthuma, great-grandchildren: Peyton, Ty and Ally Bonnell, Raegan Kasten, Brody Bonnell; plus three brothers: Jerry (Linda) Keller, Don Keller, and Steve (Brenda) Keller. She was preceded in death by Sally Keller Griffin, sister; and Jim Keller, brother. Mrs. Martindale resided in Monterey until moving to Culver in 1979. She retired from Culver Community School Corporation in 2002 after many years as a bus driver. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed the outdoors, which included activities such as gardening, bicycling, going for walks, and chatting with friends and neighbors. She was a member of the Grace United Church of Christ in Culver where she sang in the choir and dearly loved her church family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and always remembered for the kindness that she showed others. A gathering of family and friends will be held at 10 a.m. to 12 noon, Saturday (April 6), at Odom Funeral Home in Culver. A celebration of Dollie’s life will follow at 12:15 p.m,. at Grace United Church of Christ with Rev AnnMarie Kneebone officiating. Private burial will take place in Culver Cemetery, Culver.
