WINAMAC - Marney N. “June” Gust, 90, of Winamac passed away Saturday, June 1, at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne.

He was born May 6, 1934 in Michigan City, to the late Marney W. and Mary E. [Radley] Gust. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957-59.

Mr. Gust was retired from the Michigan City Water Department where he worked many years as a meter repairman. He was fondly known as “June” to his close friends and family, a nickname that began as “Junior.” He enjoyed gardening, tinkering and living on the Tippecanoe River. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Mr. Gust requested to be an organ donor and that no services be held. Private burial will be at Oakridge Cemetery in Effingham, IL.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Shriners Hospital for Children or Riley Hospital for Children.
