Nathaniel P. Gutwein
January 23, 1930 to April 16, 2024
FRANCESVILLE - Nathaniel P. “Nate” Gutwein, 94, of Francesville, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 16, at home, surrounded by his family.
He was born Jan. 23, 1930 in Francesville to the late Carl P. and Mary L. [Farney] Gutwein. He graduated from Francesville High School in 1948. He married Adeline May Novotny on Oct. 7, 1950 in Francesville, and they had five children. She passed away March 11, 1990. He married Rhonda K. Yaggie on April 12, 1992 in Francesville. She survives.

Mr. Gutwein was a lifelong resident and involved member of the Francesville community. He dedicated his working life to the Gutwein Milling Company. He was a devoted member of the Apostolic Christian Church in Francesville and faithfully served Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior. “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, April 19, at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel in Francesville; and from 9 to 9:45 a.m., Saturday at the church. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 20, at the Apostolic Christian Church in Francesville with ministers of the church officiating. Burial will be at Roseland Cemetery in Francesville.
The family suggests memorial donations be directed to Parkview Haven Retirement Home in Francesville or Humanitarian Distribution Center in Francesville.
