Kelly D. Crandall

March 6, 1963 to November 25, 2023

FRANCESVILLE - Kelly D. Crandall, 60, of Monticello (formerly of Colorado Springs, CO) passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Nov. 25, at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was born March 6, 1963 in Provo, UT to Kent C. and Patsy A. [Mahoney] Crandall. He graduated in 1981 from West High School in Sioux City, IA. He attended BYU for a year and later graduated from Texas Tech University in 1995. On Dec. 12, 2015, he married Melody A. Coggins at Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. She survives.

Mr. Grandall was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served a two-year mission for the church in Quebec, Canada. He worked as a solutions engineer for Verizon Business for many years. He was an avid woodworker, reader, and writer. He loved the outdoors, especially the mountains of Utah. He enjoyed coaching Jeff’s sports teams as well as sharing music with Claire. His dogs Aspen and Mia were his constant companions. He was always helping others and lived to make life better for those he loved.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 30, at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel in Francesville. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 1, at the funeral home.
