Harold G. Stotler
March 20, 1938 to November 6, 2022
WINAMAC - Harold Gene Stotler, 84, of Winamac (formerly of Monterey), passed away Sunday, Nov. 6, at Pulaski Health Care Center in Winamac.
He was born March 20, 1938 in Monterey to the late Evert D. and Bertha [Rater] Stotler. He graduated from Monterey High School in 1956, and served as an MP in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He married Linda T. Wills on Aug. 23, 1993 in Las Vegas. She survives.

After receiving an honorable discharge from the army, Mr. Stotler moved to Colorado and worked for Gates Rubber Co. He lived in Colorado for 12 years, and during that time he met his future wife. After spending a year in Arizona, the couple moved to the family farm in Monterey in 1981. He was a caregiver for his parents until they passed away. He was a farmer who enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and fishing.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m., Monday, Nov. 14, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 15, at the funeral home with Rev. Edward Clark officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Memorial Cemetery in Monterey. The American Legion will conduct military graveside services.
Memorial donations may be made to the Memorial Swinging Bridge Project or Gideons International or Monterey Fire Department.
