Jack Shannon

November 9, 1937 to October 15, 2022

WINAMAC - Jack Shannon, 84 of Winamac, passed away at 3:06 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 15, at Pulaski Memorial Hospital in Winamac.

He was born Nov. 9, 1937 in Crete, IL to the late Harold Thomas and Iris Fern Kersey Shannon. He married Gloria Fisher on April 10, 1957 in Knox. She died on Feb. 25, 2001. He married Brenda Prater Bailey on March 23, 2002 in Suwanee, GA. She survives.

Mr. Shannon was a lifelong farmer in Starke and Pulaski counties. He retired from Ford Motor Company in Chicago, Heights, Ill. in 1990. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Knox. He loved spending winters in the Orange Villa Park in Sebring, Fla. He enjoyed tractors, watching the Dirt, Grain and Steel YouTube channel that his grandson Brandon produced. He also enjoyed going to the Florida Flywheelers, coffee time at McDonalds. He loved to watch game shows, Fox News and going to church.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. (CT) (12 noon ET) until time of services Monday, Oct. 17, at the Bible Baptist Church in Knox. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. (CT) (2 p.m. ET) Monday, at the church with Pastor James Adcock officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Zion - Franklin Twp. Cemetery in Winamac.

Memorial donations may be made to Bible Baptist Building Fund.
