Roger R. Tanner
October 3, 1948 to August 24, 2021
FRANCESVILLE - Roger Ray Tanner, 72, of Francesville (formerly of Medaryville), passed away Tuesday, Aug. 24.
He was born Oct. 3, 1948 in Medaryville to the late Floyd Linford and Lillian A. Stewart Tanner. He graduated from Medaryville High School in 1966 and attended Lincoln Christian College in Lincoln, IL. While in college, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War. On Oct. 19, 1968, he married Denice Haring at the Medaryville Christian Church. She survives.

Mr. Tanner grew up on the family dairy farm North of Medaryville. At the age of 8, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at the Medaryville Christian Church. He was a lifelong farmer and member of the Medaryville Christian Church. He dedicated his life to Jesus and enjoyed working on the farm. He was an avid supporter of mission work. He was a devoted husband and loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who supported his family wholeheartedly. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, Saturday, Aug. 28, at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel in Francesville. The funeral service will follow at 12 noon Saturday, at the funeral home with Pastor Wes Raley officiating. The American Legion will conduct military honors at the funeral home. Private burial will be at Bethlehem Cemetery in Medaryville.
