WINAMAC - Frances M. Thomas, 95, Winamac, died at 6:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 20, at her residence.

She was born April 14, 1916, at Bass Lake to the late James and Edna Borgenson Lausten. She married Lewis J. Thomas in January 1969 in Knox. He survives.

She was preceded in death by: 
Lorraine Lausten, Sister
Leroy Lausten, Brother

Mrs. Thomas graduated from Southern Missionary College in Tennessee. She was a registered nurse, having worked at Sloan Kettering Hospital in Ohio when it first opened. She was a member of the Community Seventh Day Adventist Church in Monterey. She enjoyed cooking.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12 noon, Monday, at Community Seventh Day Adventist Church, Monterey. A memorial service will follow at 12 noon (Monday, July 25), at the church with Pastor Don English and Pastor Bryce Bowman officiating. Burial will be in McKinley Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Winamac.
