Charles A. Rose Sr.

October 9, 1928 to July 7, 2021

WINAMAC - Charles A. “Charlie” Rose Sr., 92, of Winamac, passed away Wednesday, July 7, at home.

He was born Oct. 9, 1928 in North Judson, to the late Rudolph and Mollie Rater Rose. On Oct. 28, 1950, he married Bernice M. Garling in Francesville. She passed away April 21, 2014.

Mr. Rose was a longtime member of St. James Salem United Church of Christ in Francesville. He was a proud member of the Teamsters Union for over 30 years. He enjoyed building, woodworking, and gardening. Following retirement, he worked with his brothers doing construction. He was an avid country music fan. He enjoyed playing his guitar and making music with his family. He loved his family very much and will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m., Sunday, July 11, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. The funeral Service will be at 10 a.m., Monday, July 12, at the funeral home with Rev. Nelda Seger officiating. Burial will be at St. James Salem Cemetery in Francesville. The American Legion will conduct military graveside services.

Visitors are encouraged to observe current health and safety guidelines.
