Sheila D. Buczek

January 11, 1959 to June 4, 2021

MEDARYVILLE - Sheila Dawn Buczek, 62, of Medaryville, passed away Friday, June 4, at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis, with her husband by her side.

She was born Jan. 11, 1959 in Rensselaer, to the late Thomas J. and Claudine Dobson Childers. She was a 1977 graduate of West Central High School and a graduate of Lafayette Beauty College. On June 18, 1977, she married James A. “Jim” Buczek at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Medaryville.

Derek Buczek, Medaryville, Son
Hayden Mandsager, Granddaughter
Brooks Mandsager, Grandson
Many Extended Family Members

Mrs. Buczek was a longtime member of St. Henry’s Catholic Church, and most recently a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, “nonny,” and friend. She faithfully supported her husband on the farm as well as her kids in 4-H. She enjoyed mowing, traveling, shopping, and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events. She was always willing to help others. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, June 10, at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel in Medaryville. A rosary service will follow at 8 p.m. A funeral mass will be at 11 a.m., Friday, June 11, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Winamac, with Rev. Andrew DeKeyser officiating. Burial will be at White Post Cemetery in Medaryville.

Memorial donations may be made to Pulaski County 4-H Fairground Renovations.
