Wava Banks Arnett Davis

FRANCESVILLE - Wava Banks Arnett Davis, 98, of Francesville (formerly of rural Jasper County), passed away peacefully Tuesday, Dec. 1, at Parkview Haven Retirement Home in Francesville.
She was born June 14, 1922 in Boardtree, KY to the late Ad and Ada Arnett Banks. On Dec. 30, 1967, she married Kile R. Davis in Knox. He passed away July 25, 2003.

Mrs. Davis and her family moved to Rensselaer in 1947 from Salyersville, KY. She worked at Wm. Gehring Farms in Jasper County, Kingsbury Ordinance Plant in Kingsbury, Little Company of Mary Hospital in San Pierre, and retired from Schumacher Coil Factory in Rensselaer. She was a loving mother who put her children first, having raised five children on her own. She loved cooking for her family and friends every Sunday after church. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and canning. She loved her family very much, especially her many grandchildren. She will be dearly missed. She was a founding and lifetime member of Teaberry Hill Estates Church in Medaryville. She was also a member of T.H.E. Ladies Club. She had resided at Parkview Haven for the past seven years. She loved all the nurses, therapists, and staff. She loved everyone and was a very kind, wise, and understanding Christian lady. She expressed her love for God to everyone she met and is now resting in the arms of Jesus, her Lord and Savior.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel in Francesville. All guests will need to follow COVID-19 guidance which includes wearing a mask, social distancing, and hand sanitizing. A private funeral service will be held at the funeral home with Rev. Elmer Conley officiating. private burial will be at Highland Cemetery in North Judson.
