Marjorie I. Dulin Hale Bowers
May 30, 1922 to November 29, 2020
MEDARYVILLE - Marjorie I. “Margie” Dulin Hale Bowers, 98, longtime resident of Medaryville, passed away Sunday, Nov. 29, at Parkview Haven Retirement Home in Francesville.
She was born May 30, 1922 in Darlington, IN to the late Cecil and Elizabeth Loucks Dulin. On Dec. 18, 1978, she married George Bowers. He passed away Sept. 3, 1993.

Mrs. Bowers worked as a waitress at Proctor’s Restaurant in Lebanon, IN for many years. She retired from Eastmoor Garment Factory in Michigan City, after 27½ years. She was an active member of the Medaryville community. She attended the Medaryville Assembly of God Church. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary and longtime member of the Medaryville American Legion Auxiliary Post #96. She was a precinct poll worker for many years. She enjoyed dancing, cooking (one of the best), traveling, and playing BINGO. She was famous for telling it like it was. Most of all, she loved her family very much.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 3, at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel in Medaryville. All guests will need to follow COVID-19 guidance which includes wearing a mask, social distancing, and hand sanitizing. A private graveside service will be held at Green Lawn Cemetery in Frankfort, with Pastor Tom Dewlen officiating. Burial will follow at the cemetery in Frankfort.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
