Dr. Kenneth D. Cloud

August 17, 1953 to May 19, 2011

MARTINSVILLE - Dr. Kenneth D. Cloud, 57, Martinsville passed away at 9:09 p.m., Thursday, May 19, at his residence.

He was born Aug. 17, 1953 in Winamac, to the late Delbert and Vivianna (Weaver) Cloud. On Nov. 1, 1991 he married Sharon Kay (Rhine) Cloud and she survives.

Other survivors include son, Dr. Michael Cloud of Indianapolis; daughter, Marla Cloud-Tozar and husband Grant of Indianapolis; stepson, David Forler of Martinsville; stepdaughter, Lisa Forler of Martinsville; brothers, Jerry Cloud and wife Sharon, Tom Cloud and wife Carol and Edward Cloud and wife Lois; sisters, Donna Margison and husband Pete, Marylin Reutebuch and husband Tom and Judy Wilson and husband Steve; granddaughters, Kendra, Libby and Megan Cloud-Tozar and Haley Forler; mother-in-law, Carol Rhine; sister-in-law, Ann Rhine.

He was also preceded in death by brothers, Stephen, Ronald, Joseph and Richard Cloud; nephew Ronald J. Reutebuch and great-nephew Vance Reutebuch.

Dr. Cloud was a graduate of Winamac High School in 1971. After high school he served four years with the Un. S. Army and earned the rank of sergeant. He earned his undergraduate degree from Ball State University in 1979. He graduated from the Indiana University School of Medicine in 1983 and served his residency at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville, Indiana, from 1983 to 1986.

He worked with Unity Physicians from 1986 to 2009 and then worked with EM Care Physicians from 2009-2011. He was at the Morgan Hospital & Medical Center emergency room for a total of 25 years. During part of the time he served as associate medical director of the emergency department.

Visitation will be Monday, from 4 to 8:00 p.m., at Costin Funeral Chapel, Martinsville, with a Rosary at 4 p.m., and on Tuesday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of the mass. A funeral mass will be 11 a.m., Tuesday (May 24), at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church with Father John Hall and Rev. Mark Suter officiating. There will be a military service at the graveside.
