Jack L. Kellenburger
November 9, 1938 to April 3, 2019
WINAMAC - Jack Lee Kellenburger, 80, of Star City, died at 10:56 a.m., Wednesday, April 3, at his residence. He was known as "The Windmill Man" for his love of refurbishing old windmills.
He was born Nov. 9, 1938 in Lafayette, to the late Kenneth and Mildred Smith Kellenburger. He married his wife Carol in Winamac. She survives.

Mr. Kellenburger was a member of the Star City United Methodist Church. He had worked as a warehouse manager for Walgreens in Colorado. He served for six years in the Army National Guard. After retirement he enjoyed repairing, rebuilding and erecting windmills. He and his wife spent their winters in Okeechobee, Fla. where he established and enjoyed Bocce Ball within their retirement community. He loved his wife, kids and grandkids. His quick-witted humor was infectious and enjoyed by all his friends, family and complete strangers who quickly became his new friends. He spoke frequently and highly of his daily coffee social group at the Oak Grove restaurant in Star City.
Visitation will be from 3to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 9, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 10, at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Richards officiating. Burial will be at McKinley Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Winamac.
