Marcelino Salinas
December 25, 1931 to February 17, 2019
WINAMAC - Marcelino "Mark" Salinas, 87, of Winamac passed away Sunday, Feb. 17, at his home.
He was born Dec. 25, 1931 in Corwith, IA to the late Lino and Eva Miller Salinas. He graduated from North Judson High school. He moved to Winamac in 1980. He married Brenda A. Westfall on Oct. 1, 1994, in Winamac. She survives.

Mr. Salinas was a local businessman and entrepreneur. His first business venture was Mark's Service, a service station located on US 35 at the Pulaski/Starke County line. He built and operated The Alley until 1994 when the facility was renovated to accommodate All Seasons Home Center. He retired in 1999. Over the years, he also enjoyed farming with his father. He enjoyed working with his hands, especially building and fixing things. He was always figuring out a better way to do things. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Thursday, Feb. 21, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. The funeral service will follow at 12 noon (Thursday), at the funeral home.
Private burial will be at Culver Cemetery, Culver.
Memorial donations may be made to Pulaski Animal Center to honor Mr. Salinas's love of adopting and caring for animals.
