Lillian J. Vedok

WINAMAC - Lillian Jane Vedok, 104, of Winamac, passed away at 5:25 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 15, at Hickory Creek, Winamac.

She was born Feb. 10, 1914, in Hinsdale, IL, to the late Irvin and Alice Mae Hoffman Oldfield. Lillian married John Vedok on Dec. 27, 1930. He passed away March 19, 1975.

Mrs. Vedok was a devoted wife and loving mother who loved having her family around her. She enjoyed baking and cooking, especially making her famous nut bread, her apple-and-cheese strudel and the best fried chicken in the world. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 18, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. The funeral service will follow at 5 p.m., Sunday (Nov. 18), at the funeral home  with Pastor Jeff Seger officiating. Private burial will be at Winamac Cemetery, Winamac, at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to Hickory Creek Activities Fund.
