Irvin K. Yaggie

October 26, 1930 to June 5, 2018

FRANCESVILLE - Irvin K. Yaggie, 87, of Francesville, passed away at 9:07 p.m., Tuesday, June 5, at White Oak Health Campus, Monticello, surrounded by his family.

He was born on the family farm in Francesville on Oct. 26, 1930 to the late Joseph and Lena Tyler Yaggie. He graduated from Francesville High School in 1948. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Francesville American Legion. On Aug. 14, 1955, he married Lois E. Streitmatter. She preceded him in death.

Mr. Yaggie was a lifelong farmer and a member of the Farm Bureau. He was a member of the Francesville Apostolic Christian Church. He was a kind man and enjoyed visiting with people. He was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and great grandfather and especially enjoyed attending his grandchildren's 4-H shows.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 8, at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel, Francesville; and one hour prior to services at the church Saturday. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 9, at the Apostolic Christian Church, Francesville, with the ministers of the church officiating. Burial will be at Roseland Cemetery, Francesville. The American Legion will conduct military graveside services.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
