September 3, 1928 to March 31, 2018

FRANCESVILLE - Adam Jacob "Junior" Gutwein, 89, of Medaryville, passed away at 2:45 a.m., Saturday, March 31, at White Oak Health Campus, Monticello.

He was born Sept. 3, 1928 in Francesville, to the late Adam and Lydia Albrecht Gutwein. He was a 1946 graduate of Francesville High School, and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. On Nov. 26, 1950, he married Arlene June Smith. She passed away March 21, 2013.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 5, at First Baptist Church of Francesville. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Friday, April 6, at the church with Pastor Dennis Gutwein and Roger Cryan officiating. Burial will be at Roseland Cemetery, Francesville. The American Legion will conduct military graveside services.

Memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Fund or the First Baptist Church Youth Fund.
