Joel E. Pence

January 22, 1953 to September 15, 2017

WINAMAC - Joel E. Pence, 64, of Winamac, passed away at 4 a.m., Friday, Sept. 15, at his home.

He was born Jan. 22, 1953 to Everett and Marian Bowdin Pence in Gary. On April 1, 1992, he married Vickie Lewis Bennett in Hobart. She survives.

He is survived by:

He was preceded in death by: 
Everett Pence, Father 
Martin Pence, Infant Brother 
Mark Pence, Brother 
Sam, Nephew

Mr. Pence was a member of the Hobart Jaycees. He enjoyed music, especially bluegrass and King Crimson. He was an outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. One of his favorite pastimes was needlepoint. He thoroughly enjoyed his recent cross-country trip with Vickie and "the cousins." He loved his family very much and will be sadly missed.

The family will host a celebration of life service at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to the family or the National Park Conservation Service.
