Virgil Craft

January 29, 1933 to October 31, 2016

WINAMAC - Virgil Craft, 83, of Winamac, passed away at 3:35 a.m., Monday, Oct. 31, at Hickory Creek, Winamac.

He was born Jan. 29, 1933 in Guage, Ky. to the late Allen and Lucretia Dyer Craft. On June 19, 1979, he married Mary Wilber in LaPorte. She survives.

Mr. Craft served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Ford Motor, Co. in Lima, Ohio for about 10 years. He and his wife moved to Winamac over 20 years ago. He was a member of Leisure Time Pentecostal Church where he was baptized many years ago. He was a talented musician. He played banjo and drums with numerous bands and fellow musicians. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He will be sadly missed.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 3, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Friday, Nov. 4, at the funeral home with Rev. Erve Bradley officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Knox. The American Legion and VFW will conduct military graveside services.
