Marvin L. Trueblood

March 19, 1938 to April 5, 2016

MEDARYVILLE - Marvin L. Trueblood, 78, of Medaryville, died at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 5, at Pulaski Memorial Hospital, Winamac.

He was born March 19, 1938 in Munster to the late Delbert and Mary Bough Trueblood. On June 28, 1958, he married his high school sweetheart Sandra L. Taylor at the Lowell Methodist Church.  She survives.

Mr. Trueblood graduated from Lowell High School in 1956. During his senior year, he pitched every single baseball game and was an all-conference pitcher. He and his wife attended Francesville First Christian Church. He worked for NIPSCO for 38 years and retired in 1994 as an area supervisor. He was an active member of his community, having been a part of the "chain gang" for West Central football and serving as vice president of the West Central Athletic Booster Club. He also had served on the West Central Scholarship Committee. He was an avid golfer and longtime member of the Moss Creek Country Club and was a Chicago White Sox and Los Angeles Dodgers fan. Most of all, he was a true family man who loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Saturday, April 9, at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel, Francesville. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 10, at Francesville First Christian Church, Francesville, with Pastor James Ketchen officiating. Private burial will take place in Lowell Cemetery at a later date.
