Larry L. Hooker

December 10, 1950 to March 6, 2016

FRANCESVILLE - Larry L. Hooker, 65, of Francesville, passed away at 10 a.m., Sunday, March 6, at St. Elizabeth East, Lafayette.

He was born Dec. 10, 1950, in Winamac to Lamoine and Emogene Stamer Hooker. He married Nancy Long on Sept. 29, 1973 in Logansport. She survives.

Mr. Hooker was a lifelong farmer, and enjoyed working with his cattle. He had also worked at the Ball Corporation in Monticello. He enjoyed playing sports, watching the Cubs, the Bears and the Indiana Hoosiers. He was the lead singer in his band, The Referees, in the 1970s. He loved music and dancing. He was an avid card player. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a terrific husband, father and grandfather.

A private funeral service will be held at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht, Francesville, with Rev. Judith Doll officiating. Burial will be in Idle Cemetery, Francesville.
