WINAMAC - Agnes G. Nicolas, 96, 918 N. Monticello St., Winamac, died at 12:10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 29, at Hickory Creek, Winamac.
She was born Jan. 28, 1914 in Winamac, daughter of the late Henry and Mary Grindle Braun. She married Joseph J. Nicolas Sr. on April 14, 1936 in Winamac. He died Nov. 17, 1981.

Mrs. Nicolas was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Ladies of Charity and Christian Mothers in Winamac. She was a frequent volunteer at the Good Samariton Store in Winamac. She was active in the Pulaski County Farm Bureau. She sold Stanley Home Products for 25 years. She was lovingly known as the "noodle lady."
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Sunday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. A rosary service will begin at 7 p.m., at the funeral home; immediately followed by a Christian Mother’s service and a scritural wake service. The funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday (Jan. 3), at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Winamac. The officiating clergy will be Rev. Martin Sandhage. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Winamac.
Memorial donations may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
