Deloris J. Salrin

November 16, 1925 to December 23, 2015

MEDARYVILLE - Deloris Jean Salrin, 90, a lifelong resident of Medaryville, passed away at home Wednesday, Dec. 23. 

She was born Nov. 16, 1925 in rural White Post Township, Pulaski County to the late Theodore and Grace Leippert Kain. She married Charles Salrin on Jan. 13, 1948, in Francesville. He preceded her in death on Dec. 1, 1982.

Mrs. Salrin was a graduate of Medaryville High School. She worked at the garment factory before her marriage. After her marriage, she was proud to be a homemaker and a farm wife, often helping on the farm. She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Medaryville. She enjoyed sewing, flower gardening, creating crafts, dancing, and caring for her pets. During the past few years she enjoyed the lunches, company, and activities at the West Side Senior Center in Medaryville. She was very generous, always willing to help others. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.  

Visitation will be from 12 Noon to 2 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 29, at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel, Medaryville. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m., (Tuesday, Dec. 29,) at the funeral home with Rev. Judith Doll officiating. Burial will be at White Post Cemetery, Medaryville.

Memorial donations may be given to St. John United Church of Christ .
