February 19, 1947 to November 6, 2014

LOGANSPORT - Linda K. (Fennimore) Terrel, age 67, Noblesville, formerly of Logansport, passed away at 6:50 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014, in Riverview Hospital, Noblesville.

She was born Feb. 19, 1947, in Kokomo to Emanuel and Virginia (Gates) Fennimore. In 1972, she married Gary Terrel. He survives.

Also surviving are son Charles Adrian, daughter-in-law Erika, grandchildren Milena and Matthew, and siblings Trudy and Gary, and nieces and nephews.

A grandson, Andrew, preceded in death. 

Mrs. Terrel graduated with honors in 1965 from Kokomo High School and earned a master's degree in music education from Ball State University in 1970.  After giving birth to her son she became a Le Leche League leader. But her great passion for music re-emerged during her mid-life and she immersed herself into the world of the performing arts. Her contributions and accomplishments include president of Logansport Civic Players, 2005 Cass County Outstanding Arts Advocate Award, co-founder of Cass County Arts Alliance, and board member for both Footlite Musicals, Indianapolis and Epworth Forest Choir School. For nearly 20 years she was a volunteer grant application writer. She helped secure more than $100,000 in funds for various theatre groups.

In area theater, she did it all. She was a stage manager, director, box office worker, fund raiser, piano/keyboard player and occasional actress (her career was capped off by winning an Indianapolis Encore Association award as actress in a supporting role). Her fondest memories were simple ones. Keyboarding with pals Judy, Sam and Kevin in a rock band was a blast. Playing piano in church every Sunday was soothing. She often played Vera Sanders on stage in "Smoke On The Mountain" which was simply fun. Directing four (Winamac) high school boys in an awesome performance of "Forever Plaid" was priceless to her. But her greatest joy was attending Epworth Forest Choir School each summer to play inspirational music with folks she termed, "The nicest group of people I have ever met." They seemed to think Mrs. Terrel fit in very, very well. Despite her arts commitments, she always prioritized and deeply loved her family.

Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport, on Nov. 13, with immediate family attending. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, Nov. 22, at Kroeger Funeral Home , 711 E. Market St., Logansport. The visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. with the ceremony to begin at 7 p.m. 

In lieu of flowers, etc, the family requests contributions in Linda's memory may be made to the Cass Co. Community Foundation, P.O. Box 441, Logansport, IN 46947, where a fund is being established to provide an annual scholarship in Linda's name.
