WINAMAC - Berniece L. Riggs, 87, of Winamac, died at 6:08 p.m., Wednesday, March 19, at Christus Santa Rosa in New Braunsfels, TX.

She was born April 18, 1926, in Winamac, to Samuel and Bessie Edith Dean Lebo. She  married C. Paul Riggs on Sept. 8, 1945, in Winamac. He died April 29, 1994.

Michelle and Miller Harkey, New Braunfels, TX, Granddaughter & grandson-in-law

Vicki Bognar, Step grandaughter
Brittany Smith, Great granddaughter
Austin Smith, Great grandson

She was preceded in death by:
8 Brothers and Sisters

Mrs. Riggs was one of nine children, and was a life long resident of Pulaski County. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Winamac, and was very active in her church. She and her husband Paul operated the local State Farm Insurance Agency from 1958 until 1988. She loved quilting and visiting her granddaughter and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m., Friday (March 28), at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. The funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday (March 29), at the funeral home, with Pastor Rick Abbott officiating. Burial will be in McKinley Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Winamac.

Memorial donations may be given to First Christian Church Winamac.
