WINAMAC - Carl R. Rater, 80, of Greenville, MI (formerly of Winamac) passed away at 5:05 a.m., Monday, Aug.19, at Spectrum United Rehab & Nursing Center in Greenville.

He was born on Jan. 24, 1933 in Denham, to the late Ralph and Maxine Worth Rater. On June 4, 1960, he married Judy Kay Hettinger. She passed away March 3, 1996.

Mr. Rater enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved his family and will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m., Thursday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday,(Aug. 23), at the funeral home with Pastor Don Norrick officiating. Burial will be in Winamac Cemetery, Winamac.
