Carol D. Master
January 16, 1933 to July 23, 2013
WINAMAC - Carol Deane Master, 80, of Monterey, passed away at 5:50 p.m., Tuesday, July 23, at her residence.
She was born Jan. 16, 1933, in Monterey, to the late George and Elizabeth Brooke Wolfram. She married Martin Gerald "Jack" Master on Oct. 28, 1950, in Monterey. He passed away Jan. 8, 2012.

Mrs. Master was an active member of St. Anne's Catholic Church, Monterey. She was also a member of the Monterey Lion's Club Auxillary.She and her husband were the former owners of Master Hardware in Monterey for 32 years.
As an exceptional softball player, she tried out for the Wisconsin Belles professional women's baseball team and was accepted, but was not able to join the team due to her young age at the time. She was an avid bowler, sponsoring multiple bowling teams over the years. She achieved a lifetime high series of 665 and a high game of 276, one strike short of a perfect game. She enjoyed collecting antiques, fishing, painting, archery, and shooting firearms. She loved flowers and always had a beautiful flower garden at her home. She actively supported numerous charities in many ways. She was always ready to offer a helping hand in the community.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. A scriptural wake service will be at 7:30 p.m. The funeral mass will be at 11 a.m., Saturday (July 27), at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Monterey, with Rev. Bert Woolson officiating. Burial will be in St. Anne's Cemetery, Monterey.
