Forest G. Conn
September 5, 1915 to May 6, 2013
WINAMAC - Forest G. Conn, 97 of Winamac, died at 2:25 p.m., Monday, May 6, at St. Vincent Medical, Indianapolis.
She was born Sept. 5, 1915, in Winamac, to the late Henry Edgar and Emma Jeanetta Cramer Vanaman. She married Harold L. McWherter on Sept. 19, 1935 in Winamac. He died on Sept. 16, 1944. She married Harry R. Conn on June 29, 1947 in Winamac. Harry died Jan. 8, 2002.

Mrs. Conn was a member of the First Christian Church in Winamac. She was a Past Matron of OES 96, Winamac.
She was a former laborer at the Kingsbury Ordinance Plant, a former telephone operator and clerk for the United Telephone Co, and a former bookeeper at the ASCS office in Winamac. She last worked as a secretary and abstract preparer at the Gast Law office in Winamac. She loved to work in her flower garden, and horseback riding. She also loved to crochet afghans and to sew quilts. She read western and history novels on her Kindle.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, at Frain Mortuary. An OES service will begin at 6:30 p.m.,at the funeral home. The funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Friday (May 10), at the funeral home with Rev. Glen Meyerand and Pastor Rick Abbott officiating. Burial will be in McKinley Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Winamac.
Memorial donations may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
