David Brockett
April 3, 1936 to August 29, 2010
WINAMAC - Dr. David L. Brockett DVM, 74, of 633 E 100 S, Winamac, passed away at 7:35 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 29, at his residence.
He was born April 3, 1936 in Summitt County, Ohio, the son of Roger and Grace Patch Brockett. He married Karren E. Woodward on Aug. 24, 1985 in Winamac. She survives.

Dr. Brockett grew up on a farm in Seville, OH, helping take care of livestock. He graduated from Westfield High School where he played basketball and other sports. He attended Muskingum College for two years. He went on to The Ohio State University to study veterinary medicine. He graduated in 1961. He came to Winamac and ran a successful veterinary practice for 44 years. He was active in 4H with all of his children.
Dr. Brockett was active in Republican politics. He served as a Pulaski County Councilman for 30 years. He was also a longtime member of the Pulaski County Health Board.
Visitation will be after 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 11, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. A memorial service will follow at 4 p.m., at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be given to a charity of the donor's choice.
