Vernon R. Pratt

April 15, 1937 to November 21, 2012

WINAMAC - Vernon R. Pratt, 75, of Burnettsville, passed away at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 21, at Monticello Assisted Living and Health Care, Monticello.

He was born April 15, 1937, in Winamac, to the late Lindle and Cecelia DuBois Pratt. He married Gail Popejoy on July 13, 1992 in Gatlinburg, TN. She survives.

Mr. Pratt served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the VFW, Monticello, and the American Legion.
Formerly of Winamac, he had resided in Burnettsville since 1967. He was a longtime member of the Burnettsville Volunteer Fire Department. He was a former employee of RCA, Monticello, and Peters Revington, Delphi. He also was a driver for Superior Auto. He  loved NASCAR, gardening, yard work, and was a former softball coach for the RCA team. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. Friday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamad. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. (Friday, Nov. 23), at the funeral home. Burial will be in Davis Cemetery, Burnettsville.
