Lena Zehner

January 8, 1934 to November 8, 2012

CULVER - Lena Irene Shideler Zehner, 78, of Monterey, passed away at 11:27 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 8, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth.

She was born Jan. 8, 1934 in Winamac, to William and Amelia DeMoss Shideler. On Feb. 28, 1954 she married William J Zehner at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Monterey. He survives.

Also surviving are sons - Joseph (Sandy) Zehner of Plymouth, Bill and Matthew (Carol) Zehner of Monterey, and Mark (Jannie) Zehner of Culver; daughters - Amy (Don) Housinger of Winamac, Loretta (John) Deason of Plymouth, and Marcella (Chad) Hopple of Plymouth; brother - Alfred Shideler of California; sisters - Delores (Jim) Zehner of Monterey and Margaret Korreckt of
Logansport; 21 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Margaret Hurford, twin sons John and Kenneth, 1 brother, 2 sisters, and 4 grandchildren.

A time of visitation with the family will be held at the Odom Funeral Home, Culver, on Monday, from 4 to 8 p.m., with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m. Fathers Thaddeus Balinda and Bert Woolson will officiate a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Monterey, at 10 a.m., Tuesday (Nov. 13). Burial will follow St. Anne's Cemetery in Monterey.

Memorials may be given to St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church in Culver.
