Richard D. Reinholt
June 9, 1928 to January 9, 2012
RANSON, W.VA. - Richard "Dick" Dean Reinholt, 83 of Kearneysville, W. Va., passed away Monday, Jan. 9, at his home.
Born June 9, 1928 in Monterey, he was the son of the late Theodore and Hope Williams Reinholt.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ellen Rose Weaver Reinholt at home, two sons, Jerry Reinholt and wife Wendy of New Windsor, Md., Andy Reinholt and wife Megan of Martinsburg, W. Va.,seven daughters, Barbara Bolinger and husband Vernon of Kearneysville, Linda Pingley and husband Randy of Gore, Va., Sandra Bolinger of Hagerstown, Md., Pam Smith and husband Dennis of Kearneysville, Robin Barb and husband Sheldon of Mathias, W.Va., Regina Philpott and husband David of New Windsor, Md. and Jenifer Hurd and husband Roger of Roanoke, Va., two sisters, Edith Loehr of Rodchester, Ind. and Deanna Bigley of Atlanta, Georgia, 22 grandchildren, seven step grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 13 step greatgrandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by son, Joseph Dean Reinholt, brother Russell Reinholt and sister Eleanor Richards.
Mr. Reinholt served in the U S Army, and worked as a farmer for many people.
The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. , Friday (Jan. 13), at the Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home, Ranson, W. Va., with Jerry Reinholt officiating. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Harpers Ferry, W. Va., with military honors. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday at the Chapel.
