WINAMAC - Barbara Jane Spry, 78, of 624 East 13th St., Winamac, passed away at 4:40 a.m., Tuesday, June 1,   in Pulaski Health Care Center, Winamac.

She was born July 3, 1931, in Williamsville, MO, to Lewis M. and Mary E. Morecraft Wilkes. She married Charles John Spry on June 10, 1950, in Winamac. He died on Oct. 3, 1990.

Mrs. Spry lived in Winamac for most of her life and had lived in Monticello for 12 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Winamac, and the Christian Women's Fellowship of the church. She volunteered for many of the church's funeral dinners. She also was a member of the Order of Eastern Star #96, Winamac, and a former member of Delta Theta Tau, Monticello. She had helped with Girl Scout camping. She was a former clerical worker for Winamac Sales, First Union Bank, and Galbreath Inc.

Friends may call after 10 a.m., Saturday,  at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m., (Saturday, June 5), at the funeral home with Pastor Rick Abbott officiating. Burial will be in McKinley Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Winamac.

Memorial donations may be given to the First Christian Church or the American Heart Association.
