Martin Master
January 13, 1930 to January 8, 2012
WINAMAC - Martin Gerald "Jack" Master, 81, Monterey, passed away at 5:50 a.m., Sunday, Jan. 8, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 13, 1930, in Monterey, to the late Edward C. and Ida A. Appler Master. He married Carol D. Wolfram on Oct. 28, 1950, in Monterey. She survives.

Soon after graduation from Monterey High School, Mr. Master was employed by Studebaker Automotive for several years and later was a mechanic at Superior Freight Lines, South Bend. He was the former owner of Jack's Sinclair Station and Master Hardware in Monterey. He served his community as a plumber and electrician following his retirement. He considered himself a "Jack" of all trades and a master of none.
He was a formerly active member of the Monterey Lion's Club. He was a life-long member of St. Anne's Catholic Church, Monterey. He attended all eight grades at St. Anne's School. He enjoyed building model airplanes. His hobbies included shooting guns, bowling, ice skating and hunting.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. A scriptural wake service will be at 7:30 p.m. The funeral mass will be at 11 a.m., Thursday (Jan. 12), at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Monterey, with Rev. Bert Woolson officiating. Burial will be in St. Anne's Cemetery, Monterey.
