Sandra E. Funk

ROYAL CENTER - Sandra E. Funk, 90 of Star City (formerly of Lucerne) passed away peacefully at 9:27 a.m., Tuesday, March 4, at Pulaski Healthcare Center, Winamac.

Born Nov. 6, 1934 in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Bessie (Graham) Prentice. She married Clive “Tate” Funk on Nov. 6, 1953. He preceded her in death in 2001.
Survivors include her children Margaret (Lucas) Roberts of Arizona, Marvin (Patricia) Funk of Macy, Mary (Herb) Campbell of Star City and Marcia Funk of Wabash; and brother Barry (Connie) Prentice of Logansport. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, one brother Marlen Prentice and sisters Dawn Jarvis and Audrey Prentice.
Mrs. Funk formerly worked at Bolins Bakery, Chase Center, Logansport State Hospital and then retired after 20 years at Oak Grove Restaurant in Star City. She was a member of Royal Center United Methodist Church and TOPS. She enjoyed reading and spending time with family.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Monday, March 10, at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Harrison Chapel, Royal Center. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Kistler Cemetery in Royal Center.
