Nora E. Henley-Marquis
January 29, 1918 to November 10, 2011
WINAMAC - Nora Evelyn Henley-Marquis, 93, Winamac, passed away at 5:15 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 10, at the Pulaski Health Care Center, Winamac.
She was born Jan. 29, 1918, in Pawnee, OK, to the late Leonard Floyd and Nora Cecelia Painter Bowen. She married Allen LeRoy Henley on Sept. 6, 1936 in Chicago. He died in 1981. She married Harold Marquis on Oct. 6, 1985 in Winamac. He died in 1998.

Mrs. Marquis was a homemaker and independant business woman. She was a former linotype operator for the Pulaski County Journal. She also sold Avon products for 25 years. She was a real estate investor and managed her rental properties and farms.
She graduated with honors from John Marshall High School in Chicago in 1936. She enjoyed gardening and raising livestock. She always kept herself busy and enjoyed helping others. She always enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was a big influence on them.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Saturday, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Sunday (Nov. 13), at the funeral home with Pastor Ron Lewellen officiating. Burial will be in McKinley Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Winamac.
Memorial donations may be given to the American Kidney Foundation or Parkinsons Awareness Association or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
